DONELSON — Mikey Jones isn’t a one-man Friendship Christian middle school football team. It just seems like it sometimes.

The Commander quarterback scored five touchdowns and passed for a sixth to camp Friendship’s perfect season 44-6 at Donelson Christian last Tuesday.

Jones scored on runs of 3, 14, 13 and 65 yards, a 45-yard pass to Ben Jamison and a 50-yard fumble return. He also ran for a two-point conversion and passed to Jamison and Tarver Hayslip for two more.

Jamison and Chad Holcombe also ran for a two-point PAT apiece as Friendship finished a 8-0 season.

Jones completed 7 of 13 passes for 133 yards, six of the hookups going to Jamison for 128 yards. He also ran for 118 yards on 13 rushes.

Jones also led Friendship with five tackles. Jamison and Mac Reeder each broke up three passes and Holcombe two.
