Fall break hoops at FBC Lebanon

Fall break basketball camps will be held at First Baptist Church Lebanon this week. K5-third grade boys and girls will have a camp from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 17-19 for $50, with a $20 discount if signed up by Oct. 16. Campers should bring a snack and lunch. Grades 4-8 boys and girls will have a NOAH shooting camp from 2-5 p.m. Oct. 17-18 for $50, with a $20 discount if signed up by Oct. 16. Space is limited and campers should bring a snack and a drink. Sign up at the church's East Main Street office or call coach Davis Harrison at 417-4510.

Airborne Volleyball tryouts this month

Airborne Volleyball will hold tryouts for girls ages 11-18 for the upcoming season. Tryout dates are 2-5 p.m. Oct. 20 for 14-under and 5-8 p.m. Oct. 27 for 15-under. Tryouts will be held at Lebanon High School. Interested players should sign up at airbornevbc.net on the registration page. Inside Volleyball magazine called Airborne its club on the rise earlier this summer.

Lebanon Jr.-Sr. Pro hoops signups Oct. 26

Signups for the City of Lebanon's Junior and Senior Pro Basketball League will be held from 9-11 a.m. Oct. 26 at the Harold Dean Greer Recreation Center in Baird Park. Pre-registration is available weekdays at the rec center from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. [closed 11 a.m.-noon for lunch] or online at lebanoncitysports.com. The league is for boys and girls ages 6 through eighth-grade who live in Wilson County. An applicant must have turned 6 on or before Aug. 1 of this year and cannot be past eighth-grade. Seventh- and eighth-graders who are part of a junior high or junior-varsity team are not permitted to play. Applicants should bring a birth certificate and a $40 registration fee to signups.
