COLUMBIA, Ky. – Nationally-ranked No. 7 Lindsey Wilson proved to be too much for the Cumberland volleyball squad on Tuesday afternoon at the Biggers Sports Center as the Blue Raiders used an attack percentage of .323 en route to a 3-0 victory.

Cumberland (14-19, 5-12) recorded just 22 kills in the match, committing 19 attack errors, five service errors and three reception errors.

The Bulldogs were able to contain the Mid-South Conference leaders for a short time in the second set, remaining within two points at 15-13. LWC would again prove to be too much, using a 10-2 run over the next 12 points to take the second set.

CU avoided yielding a large run in what would be the third and final set, but Lindsey Wilson controlled throughout on the way to a 25-19 win to finish off the Bulldogs.

Juniors Jenna Pavan and Laura Peavy each provided a team-high 11 digs for Cumberland and freshman Abby Shaw tied for a match-high with nine kills. Nine assists from Kasi Wells proved the team best.

The Bulldogs were able to all LWC players in single-digit kills as Sarah Anderson led the Blue Raiders with nine.
