Cumberland golf inks Milan's Stuckey

Cumberland golf coach Rich Williams announced the signing of Milan native Morgan Stuckey to scholarship papers this week for the 2014-15 academic year.

Stuckey has lettered four years for Milan coach Donny Joyner, earning all-district honors as a sophomore, junior and senior and garnered all-state recognition her final two seasons for the Bulldogs. She was named West Tennessee Golfer of the Year as a junior and senior as well.

Stuckey was the individual medalist at the region tournament as a senior, shooting two-under par 70, and placed second at the district tournament. She also tied for 14th at the TSSAA State Tournament this fall.

She won individual medalist honors at the 2012 district tournament, tying for 10th at the state tournament, and won the 2011 region tourney while placing 21st at the state tournament as a sophomore.

Stuckey was named academic top 10 as a freshman, sophomore and junior, attended the Murray State Commonwealth Honors Academy and is the founder of the Social Justice Club at MHS. She is the daughter of Tripp and Michele Stuckey and her uncle, Stacy Taylor, played golf at Ole Miss.
