Central shuts out Mt. Juliet as Kramer wins 400th

GLADEVILLE — Wilson Central crushed Northeast 69-9 and Mt. Juliet 71-0 in high school wrestling Tuesday night.

The win over Mt. Juliet was the 400th for Central coach John Kramer, whose Wildcats climbed to 31-4 this season.

Central’s Nicholas King pinned Mt. Juliet’s Daniel Baker in 1:06 at 106 pounds, Caleb Berta beat Jalen Henry 11-6 at 113, Christian Cerrito pinned Matthew Helm in 2:50 at 120, Lane Dickeson edged Zackrey Wilkins 7-5 at 126 and Austin Richard pinned Colin Williams in 45 seconds at 132.

Eddie Small pinned Justin Charest in 2:26 at 138, John-Michael Jenkinson shut out Austin Downing in a 15-0 technical fall at 145, Michael Bimms beat Danyon Edens 8-2 at 152, Zach Linton pinned Brian Qiu in 3:13 at 160 and Tyler Georgeadis beat Jacob O’Brien 3-2 at 170.

Marshall Suiter won by forfeit at 182. Perry Baltz pinned Asher Benson in 59 seconds at 195. John Kramer won by forfeit at 220 and Christian Frans did likewise at 285.

Mt. Juliet knocked off Northeast 48-22 as O’Brien won by pin in 56 seconds, Benson by pin in 23 seconds, Henry by pin in 1:17, Helm by pin in 3:19, Wilkins by pin in 39 seconds, Williams by pin in 2:51, Downing by pin in 1:02 and Edens by pin in 1:41.
