Cumberland baseball’s home opener against Union University has been moved from Tuesday to today because of forecasted inclement and extremely cold weather, with the first pitch still set for 2 p.m. at Ernest L. Stockton Field-Woody Hunt Stadium.

The Bulldogs, ranked 10th nationally, split four games over the weekend against Auburn Montgomery, fourth-ranked Missouri Baptist and No. 1 Faulkner, the defending national champion.

Cumberland will play nine of its next 10 games at home, including three-game series versus Taylor (Feb. 14-15) and West Virginia Tech (Feb. 21-22) as well as a doubleheader against 25th-ranked Freed-Hardeman.

CU will play on the road at Georgia Gwinnett on Feb. 18 and open Mid-South Conference play Feb. 28-March 1 at No. 23 Georgetown College to finish out this month’s schedule.
