MJCA middle walks off with 5-4 loss at MTCS

MURFREESBORO — Mt. Juliet Christian lost at Middle Tennessee Christian 5-4 Monday as the Saints dropped their second of the season, both to the Cougars, in middle school baseball.

Middle Tennessee Christian overcame a 4-2 deficit with three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

“Our guys played really hard,” Mt. Juliet Christian coach Mike Kittrell said. “We wish it had a different ending but the game just didn’t go our way.

“The season is a long way from over and we will continue the course and see how it ends. I believe we still have the best ball team. They will keep working hard.”

Mt. Juliet Christian will play hoat to the Middle Tennessee Heat at 4 p.m. Thursday at Billie Friel Field.

Hagemeyer perfect for MJ Middle

MT. JULIET — Adam Hagemeyer pitched a no-hitter for Mt. Juliet Middle in a 13-0 win over Southside on Monday night.
