LHS girls, Central boys win 7-2

GLADEVILLE — Lebanon’s girls and Wilson Central’s boys beat their crosstown rivals by identical 7-2 scores in District 9-AAA tennis Thursday.
Singles winners for the Devilettes were Kansas Glasgow over Heather Allmond 6-1, 6-0; Amy Tribble over Jackie Anderson 9-7, Aitana Asenjo over Rebecca Glenn 8-3 and Katherine Daily over Hallie Wolfe 8-5.
Doubles winners were Allmond and Gina Kelley over Glasgow and Lani Lee 8-4, Asenjo and Crutcher over Anderson and Michela Micco 8-6 and Tribble and Melissa Bohrman over Glenn and Wolfe 8-5.
Lady Wildcat winners were Micco over Kelley 8-6 and Lee over Bohrman 8-1.
Central’s Lucia Hurtado won an exhibition match 6-1.
In the boys’ match, Wildcat winners were Nathaniel Dennison over Trent Baggett 7-6, 6-1; Paden Robertson over Murry Lee 8-4, Chase McElfresh over Ganyed Gregory 8-6 and Reece Gaddes over Clayton Kawasaki 9-7.
Doubles winners were Dennison and Zack Baker over Baggett and Jake Rodriguez 8-5, Robertson and McElfresh over Lee and John Kelley 8-5 and Gaddes and Wood over Gregory and Kawasaki 8-4.
Lebanon winners were Rodriguez over Baker 8-2 and Kelley over Max Rahmani 8-6.
The Wildcats’ Bo Jackson won an exhibition match 6-4.
Next up for Central will be a Monday trip to Gallatin Municipal Park for a 3:30 p.m. district match against the Green Wave. In the meantime, the Wildcats will hold a fundraising waffle breakfast from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Waffle House on Highway 109.
