Saturday scrimmages on April 5 and 12 take place from 10 a.m.-noon. All practices and scrimmages are open to the public and will take place either on the game field or one of the two practice fields at the Nokes-Lasater complex.

Senior quarterbacks Broc Loveless and Reed Gurchiek – who combined for 1,346 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns and 1,287 passing yards and five more TDS – return in 2014 for the squad, as well as the club’s top three receivers – Michael Green, Anthony Woodard and Blake Deboard, who collected 72 catches for 686 yards and four touchdowns collectively.

Defensively leading tackler Nathan Jernigan (66 total stops, 8.0 tackles for loss, 4 interceptions) along with Christopher Golden (52 stops, 3.0 tackles for loss) and Grant Jones (37 tackles, 6 pass breakups) are back for Suber, who also serves as the team’s defensive coordinator.

Cumberland will open the 2014 season at home against the University of the Cumberlands on Sept. 6 at Nokes-Lasater Field.
