SOUTH CARTHAGE — Gordonsville run-ruled visiting  Watertown 12-1 in five innings Monday in District 8-A softball at Crump Paris Park.

Cori Jennings held Watertown to six singles and no walks while striking out nine in the five-inning game.

Briona Inman drove in three runs on a homer and doubled. Katlyn Ray also homered as she, Aubrey Hawks, Shelby Prichard and Robin Anne Hord knocked in two runs apiece as Gordonsville had 14 hits, half of which went for extra bases.

Tiffany Tomlinson failed to record an out as she gave up eight runs on seven hits and a walk before Brittney Pryor pitched the next four frames, surrendering four runs on seven hits.

Allison Bouton had two of Watertown’s hits and drove in Katie Dalton with the visitors’ lone run.

MJCA rolls 21-0

WHITE HOUSE — Mt. Juliet Christian crushed host Community Christian 21-0 Monday.

The Lady Saints scored five first-inning runs. Ashley Walling had a leadoff hit, Caitlyn Smith a double and Morgan Adcock an RBI single.

Freshman Abi Hildabrand hit a two-run triple in a seven-run second inning. Smith and Liz Russ each supplied an RBI single in the inning.

Mt. Juliet Christian tacked on nine more in the third, and final, inning.
