The NFL is coming to Mt. Juliet this summer as Music With A Purpose brings its NFL Skills Camp to its new home at Mt. Juliet Christian Academy.

Mt. Juliet Christian Academy will host Music With A Purpose’s second annual NFL Skills Camp open to grades 4-12 June 2-5.

This camp will teach younger athletes how to play the game while the older athletes will learn the techniques of the position they play from those who have played in the NFL.

Groups will be broken down by age and positions.

Key players for this year’s camp are Kelly Holcomb-quarterback (13-year NFL veteran), Erron Kinney-(former Titans tight end), Wes Counts-quarterback (four-year starter at Middle Tennessee State University) and others.

“We, at Mt. Juliet Christian Academy, are very excited about the opportunity to be the host site for this football camp.  I feel that kids from all over Middle Tennessee will enjoy getting a chance to meet and learn from these former high level athletes,” MJCA athletic director Paul Christensen.

The camp will run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. all four days of the camp. Athletes will receive drinks, snacks and a t-shirt at the camp.

Cost of the camp if registered before May 2 is $175, and $200 afterward.

Athletes should be at MJCA's Suey Field no later than 9:30 a.m. the first day of the camp to check-in and no later than 9:45 the remainder of the camp.

Ten children from A Soldier’s Child have been invited by Music With A Purpose to attend the camp at no cost. Any individual or company which would like to sponsor a child to attend should contact Music With A Purpose.
