The Wilson United Fury select soccer teams finished first and second in the TUSC Cup Tournament last month in Goodlettsville. The Fury, made up of Wilson County 8- and 9-year-old boys, play competitive tournaments and friendlies around the state. The team split into two for the TUSC Cup where they swept through their brackets undefeated before the Fury Green defeated their “teammates” 3-2.
“It was a great weekend of competitive soccer playing clubs from all over the state,” coach Dave Dixon said. “To have both our teams go undefeated was a big win for our team and Wilson County. We told our boys although one team won the final we all won together and were proud to represent Wilson County with class.”
The Fury will travel to Franklin this weekend for the Tennessee Invitational where more than 500 teams from all ages will compete.
