CLARKSVILLE — Mt. Juliet repeated as Region 5-AAA soccer champions Thursday night with a 3-1 win at Rossview.

A strong contingent of Golden Bear followers saw Austin Coleman scored on a Chandler Bauder assist for a 1-0 lead, then complete a long throw to Cameron Woodfin to break a 1-1 tie in the first half.

Another long throw, this time Zac McGhee to Tanner DaBell, made it 3-1 in the second half.

Dylan Cole collected eight saves for the Golden Bears, who improved to 17-4.

Mt. Juliet will play host to Overton at 7 p.m. Saturday with the winner advancing to next week’s state tournament. The Bears were turned away in this game at home by Brentwood last year, preventing them from becoming the first Wilson County soccer team to play in the state.
