Reece racks up two HRs as Wyatts throw no-hitter

Braden Reece drove in six runs on two homers and two pitchers named Wyatt combined on a no-hitter for Wilson County Motors in a 14-0 Dixie Youth League victory over Agee & Johnson on Thursday at Baird Park.

Earlier, First Freedom doubled up Painturo’s Pizza 8-4.

Reece hit a grand slam and a two-run homer, both over the fence, and singled. Wyatt Evans pitched three innings for the win before Wyatt Simmons worked the fourth.

Corey Jones singled twice and doubled in another Wilson County Motors run. Spencer Sorce supplied an RBI single while Simmons, Brock Gann, Skylar Templin and Caleb Steves singled.

In the other game, Damian Collins cracked a two-run double for First Freedom. Kolby Gaines singled and hit an RBI double while John Ross Bryan drove in a run on two singles. Bryce Miller to help Jonathan Baker to the win.

Jayden Jobe doubled home a run for Painturo’s. Chase Birdwell singled as he, Jack Dodson and Tyson Kelly doubled. Ryan Jackson, Jaylin Binnion and Will Poston singled.
