Lebanon Blue takes third at sub-district

GALLATIN – The Lebanon Blue 10-under Little League all-stars finished the season on a high note with a 15-3 win against Sparta on Thursday night in sub-district play but just missed the cut to move on to district. 

Lebanon Gold (5-0) won the round robin sub-district tournament, and Gallatin finished second to move on to district play in two weeks at Smith County. 

Lebanon Blue (3-2) jumped out to a 7-3 lead in the first inning and held Sparta scoreless throughout the rest of the game to win by run rule. 

Jaylen Abston finished with three singles at the plate with Bryce Fuller adding two singles and a triple. Hunter Hicks hit two doubles, Easton Forsyth added a double, Jackson Lea singled twice and Ian Fryer had a triple. Connor Gannon, Ian Walsh, Brody Hays and Bryce Kelley each singled. 

Lebanon Blue 13, Smith County Red 3

On Wednesday night, Lebanon Blue got the best of Smith County Red in 4 ½ innings of play. 

Abston singled and tripled in the game with Walsh adding a double. Fuller and Kelley each picked up two singles. Gannon, Forsyth, Lea and Will Weir each singled. 

Abston pitched 3 2/3 innings with two strikeouts. He gave up two hits and walked five.
