SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Former Mt. Juliet High pitcher Taylor Hill has been voted onto the International League roster for next week’s Triple-A All-Star Game.

Hill, whose next start for the Syracuse Chiefs will be tonight at Gwinnett against the Atlanta Braves’ IL affiliate, leads the league with a 1.92 earned-run average and three complete games. He ranks second in walks and hits per innings pitched with .99 and lowest unintentional walks-to-innings pitched ratio with .80 and tied for second in wins with nine [against two losses].

The right-hander was called up to the parent Washington Nationals late last month and made two relief appearances at Milwaukee’s Miller Park and Chicago’s Wrigley Field before being optioned back to Syracuse.

The Triple-A All-Star Game will be played July 16 in Durham, N.C.
