Wilson Central rising senior Hannah Bodenhorn helped the Fury 97 win the ASA/USA 16-under gold national championship last weekend  in Broken Arrow, Okla.

The North Alabama-commitment helped stop the bleeding in a 9-5 loss to the Tulsa Elite in the winner’s bracket final before pitching almost five innings in the championship game a few hours later, allowing three earned run to keep the game close in a 7-2 win over the same Elite team.

“Hannah did a fine job and allowed our other pitchers to get some rest,” coach Randy Coppinger said. “That was critical in the second game.
