First Freedom Senior Scramble

The foursome (from left) of Elmer Scott, Bobby Parton, Howard Schmidt and Danny Satterfield won last Tuesday’s First Freedom Senior Scramble after breaking a tie with the second-place quartet of Roy Allen, Tony Burton, Doug Pfeffer and Fred Brockette and the third-place team of Walter Neal, Glen Gibbs, Mike Vick and Gary Sanders, each of which shot 64 at Hunters Point Golf Course. Gary Stanley, Bucky Horton, Jerry Gibbs and Bob Samsing finished fourth and Jim Brown, Claude Maynard, David Turner and Wayne Rosson fifth after tying at 65. Jay Shirley, Ray Dinwiddie and Barney Barnes shot 66 to place sixth.

Chuck Wheeler [left] was closest to the pin on No. 9 and Aaron Sullins was closest on No. 2.
