Bulldog baseball ring ceremony set for Sept. 26

Cumberland University will host a championship ring celebration and dinner for the 2014 baseball national championship team Sept. 26 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lebanon.

The 6:30 p.m. dinner is open to the public.

Tickets may be purchased by calling head coach Woody Hunt at 615/547-1366 or stopping by the baseball clubhouse. Tickets are $10 per person and must be purchased by Sept. 22.

Cumberland claimed its third national championship in 10 years this past season, with Sam Lind earning first team All-America honors and Ricky Coleman and Chris Hall both selected second team All-Americans. Hunt was named NAIA Coach of the Year and Tyler Anderson was voted a national Gold Glove winner as well. Every member of last year’s team will be presented with a championship ring during the event.
