Allison, Price lead Purple Tigers past RBS

WATERTOWN — Pitching or catching, Brandon Allison can do it all.

Alternating between quarterback and receiver, he accounted for a pair of big first-quarter touchdowns in Watertown’s 34-0 homecoming conquest of Red Boiling Springs on Thursday at historic Robinson Stadium.

Allison caught a 50-yard pass from quarterback Heath Price, who then ran in the two-point conversion. He then threw a 60-yard scoring strike to slot back Elijah Maklary on a wheel route. Running back Zac Hill scored on a two-point run.

Keon Dotson’s 15-yard jet-sweep touchdown built a 22-0 lead going into the second quarter.

Price, alternating by series at quarterback with Allison, scored on a 2-yard sneak in the second period for a 28-0 halftime lead.

The junior-varsity tacked on the final touchdown in the fourth quarter as J.R. Pharman took a swing pass from RayQuan Berg 60 yadrs to the house.

The Purple Tigers, who improved to 3-1, will play host to Southside next Thursday with kickoff moved back to 7 p.m. due to parent-teacher conferences.

Friendship rolls past Ezell-Harding as Eskew scores twice

ANTIOCH — Jackson Eskew scored twice Thursday night to help visiting Friendship Christian past Ezell-Harding 34-7.

Eskew scored on a 16-yard run in the first quarter and a 15-yard catch from Braden Reece in the third period.

Justin Seagraves got the ball rolling for Friendship with a 50-yard touchdown run.

Friendship’s defense also got offensive. Defensive end Jared Dickey sacked the quarterback in the end zone for a safety and an 18-7 halftime lead. Cornerback Dalton Karstens returned a fourth-quarter interception 50 yards for the final touchdown.

Karstens also ended the game with an interception in the end zone as the Commanders climbed to 3-0.

Fullback Mitchell Pelham ran for a pair of two-point conversions and Adam Husseini and Landon Crecelius one each.

Friendship will next play host to Coopertown at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pirtle Field.
