Submitted • Apr 1, 2017 at 9:30 AM

Wilson Central wrestler Michael Kramer (standing on Podium No. 1) pinned five straight opponents, including four in the first period, to win the NHSCA national championship in Virginia Beach, Va., last weekend. He earned All-America honors in the process. He is just the second wrestler in Wilson County history (his brother John was the first) to place in the NHSCA Nationals. Tennessee sent 74 wrestlers to this event, producing just two champions in the high school division and one in the middle school division.
