Experience the Every Woman’s Expo

Women can look to learn, shop and indulge themselves
Sep 9, 2013

Every Woman’s Expo, a local event for women, by women, is set for Sept. 28 from 2-6 p.m. at the Mt. Juliet Community Center in Charlie Daniels Park.

Women thinking about attending can look to focus on three things: learning, shopping and indulging themselves while at the event.

“It’s meant to be a day where women can take time for themselves, indulge themselves and engross themselves in Wilson County,” said Charity Toombs, the Democrat’s marketing director. “I want people to be able to immerse themselves in the local businesses.”

While experiencing Every Woman’s Expo, there will be opportunities for women to learn about health and fitness and also learn about home and garden styling.

Toombs said University Medical Center will be there promoting health and wellness, as well as other vendors focusing on health and fitness in terms of food, beauty and overall wellness.

“The learning aspect about the event is an opportunity to learn things that affect everyday women, whether that be styling your home or healthy meal recipes,” Toombs said.

According to Toombs, Hale Moss will be at the event and will play a part in the learning process.

“Hale is going to be doing a seminar class that focuses on fall decoration, outdoor decorating tips and styling the outside of your home and garden,” Toombs said. “And everything he talks about will actually be for purchase at the event.”

Toombs also said D.T. McCall will also be there with the newest home décor.

In terms of the shopping experience, the event will feature opportunities to shop the latest fashions.

“As of now, shops like The Pink Cactus, Dreams Boutique and LuLu’s Clothing will be there, and The Crystal Couture Store will also be there doing style consultations,” Toombs said.

Women will also be able to indulge themselves in beauty and skin care.

Examples of vendors attending include Lebanon Skin Care Clinic, who will be doing facials and skin consultations, Locks and Lashes and The Wild Strand Salon, who will offer makeup contouring.

“This is really just an opportunity where women can kind of dive in and be involved,” Toombs said. “This won’t be an event where women simply walk around from booth to booth, but they actually will be able to do all these things, learn, shop and indulge, in one venue.”

Tickets are available for purchase at The Democrat as well as at Crystal Couture and First Freedom Bank in Providence, Mt. Juliet and Lebanon.

The event’s presenting sponsor will be First Freedom Bank and will benefit Relay For Life, which is associated with the American Cancer Society.
