CGI Communications, Inc., recently announced the start of a new Community Video Program in Lebanon.
CGI, which is headquartered in Rochester, N.Y., was established in 1988 and is a leading digital marketing solutions agency.
Council recently passed an ordinance to approve the 2013 community video tour agreement with CGI in June.
According to a CGI press release, they have “fully produced over 20,000 videos for municipalities, chambers of commerce, counties and associations across the country” and “constantly evolves with changing technology to create new and interesting initiatives to promote communities and organizations.”
The new Community Video Program in Lebanon will be free for the city and should revolutionize the way the city is marketed to new and future residents. In exchange, Lebanon would be obligated to feature videos on the city website.
The videos would be made as a series and would focus on what makes Lebanon a great place to live, work and play. For example, chapters within the series could contain a welcome video, a quality of life video and a community organizations video.
This “Video Tour Book” on the city’s website would be filmed by CGI in local locations for viewers to “get a real taste of Lebanon’s unique way of life.”
Lebanon’s welcome video would also be featured on Relocate.org, which is the host of CGI’s Community Video Network. This would allow Lebanon exposure on a national level for viewers to see the community and way of life in the area before visiting or moving into the area.
CGI’s staff also plans to reach out to local business owners to gain sponsorship through the videos.
“Lebanon’s Video Tour Book will be the go-to place for those looking to find a new doctor, chiropractor, contractor and more before they make the move to Lebanon,” the press release said. “It is the goal of CGI Communications, Inc., to provide Lebanon with the latest in digital marketing technology in order to help Lebanon continue to grow and thrive.”
