Countless people turned out for the first night of Wilson County’s favorite do-it-yourself event.

Wilson Bank & Trust’s annual Construction Expo kicked off Friday as more than 80 exhibitors from all fields of the construction industry, including first-time vendors and well-known names, came out to show their latest products and expertise.

Those looking for home improvement, working on a project and anywhere in-between, showed to the event to learn from area experts in categories like construction, building, remodeling, decorating and financing—all under one roof.

Exhibitors at the event, which took place at The Mill, included businesses such as Cox’s Construction, Thomas Kitchen & Bath, Palm Beach Enclosures, Superior Construction and Design, Advanced Propane, Inc., D.T. McCall & Sons, Designer Carpets, among a variety of others for your bedroom, bathroom kitchen, basements and anywhere else imaginable.

Guests browsed sample selections of things like carpets and flooring and were also exposed to some of the greatest home-improvement minds in the area with vendors offering up tips of the trade to interested passersby.

The free event also gave guests the opportunity to register to win prizes, including $500 from Wilson Bank & Trust, numerous raffles, drawings and cash giveaways and a patio cover valued at $4,500, among others.

The expo will continue Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
