The annual Summer Swinefest to benefit Empower Me Day Camp will have its 10th and final installment on Saturday.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. at College Hills Church of Christ and will feature a barbecue dinner catered by Blue Moon Barbecue, live entertainment and both live and silent auctions.
“It’s been a great 10-year run for us,” said Camp Director Michelle Hill. “We’re just thankful for the community support over the years.”
Attendees will be treated to live music from Regina King as well as performances by some of the campers.
“We hope everyone will come out and support our last Summer Swinefest,” said Hill.
The decision to make this year’s Swinefest the final one came on the heels of the success of Jere’s Ride, which also raises funds for Empower Me Day Camp.
“[Jere’s Ride] was so successful in its inaugural year, we decided to focus on one fundraiser and continue to make that one bigger and better,” said Hill.
Tickets to the Summer Swinefest cost $25 and can be bought at the door.
