Mt. Juliet will soon have even more options for those wishing to locate in the city with the approval of several new apartment complexes.
According to Mt. Juliet City Planner Bo Logan, 1,245 new units will be available through five recently approved plans. The largest of these is Lifestyle Communities, which is currently under construction. Logan said the development will house 451 units when completed.
“We have five different apartment projects. This has never happened in the history of the city, that there’s been this amount of requests at once,” said Logan.
A 225-unit complex called Meridian was approved at last month’s Planning Commission meeting, said Logan. Two other complexes currently under construction are Creekside at Providence and Glass Creek.
In conjunction with existing apartments in town and a pending request from Covey Rise, which Logan said has yet to be approved at the Planning Commission, there are two future proposals in the works looking at an additional 600 units each.
“If all of these are built, the city is 12-18 months out from a total of 4,037 apartment units in the city,” said Logan.
