Halloween on the Square rescheduled for Friday

Today’s frightful weather has prompted Lebanon city officials to reschedule Halloween on the Square for Friday from 5-8 p.m. on the Public Square.

Mayor Philip Craighead is urging parents and neighborhoods to reschedule their general trick-or-treating for Friday evening as well as weather forecasters have predicted a 100-percent chance of rain throughout Thursday.

Other cities in Wilson County are urging similar arrangements.

As part of Halloween on the Square, the fourth annual Neddy Jacobs Coffin Race will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Kids may trick-or-treat. Hot dogs and drinks will be available.
