Job seekers will get the chance to get in front of potential employers Tuesday at the Wilson County Job Fair.
Hosted by the county mayor’s office and Cumberland University, the annual fair will take place from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center on the Cumberland campus.
Ron Hammontree with the Tennessee Department of Labor said his office has facilitated the event since 2012.
“We typically have 40-50 hiring employers participate each year,” he said.
This year’s installment is slated to feature 47 businesses, and more than 1,200 jobs. Prospective employers include Leviton Manufacturing, Verizon Wireless, LoJac Holdings, and others.
Also on hand will be officials from the Wilson County Veteran’s Service Office and the state Veteran’s Office.
“The Veteran’s Service Office will have a table set up with help for veterans and the state Veteran’s Office will also set up a booth to help veterans file for benefits and other things,” said Veterans Service Officer Bernie Ash.
