Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corp. members re-elected three incumbents to their board of directors’ seats during the cooperative’s annual meeting Saturday at Embassy Suites Murfreesboro – Hotel and Conference Center.

Incumbents Gordon Bone of Wilson County’s District 4C, Steve Seger of Williamson County’s District 1A and Will Jordan of Cannon County’s District 3 won re-election to their seats. This year’s candidates were confirmed by a voice vote from the membership during the business meeting.

“Since no director or nominating committee petitions were submitted before the deadline,” MTEMC President Chris Jones said, “there were no contested elections this year. This eliminated the need for voting by machine both in the district offices the week prior to the annual meeting and at the annual meeting.”

MTEMC board members serve rotating three-year terms.

In addition to the board of directors’ re-election, the 2014 Miss MTEMC crown was given to Sarah Johnson, of Brentwood.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Heather Cagle, of Smyrna, won the grand prize; a used 2006 Ford Escape that was retired from the MTEMC fleet.

Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corp. is a member-owned, nonprofit cooperative providing electricity to more than 200,000 residential and business members in Williamson, Wilson, Rutherford and Cannon counties.
