Nashville’s Channel 4 is bringing an informative weather program to Wilson County.
On Thursday, Lisa Spencer and the 4WARN Weather Team will bring the multimedia “Surviving the Storm” program to Lebanon High School.
The 4WARN Weather Alert Tour is a program to help inform and instruct citizens about the “what, why and how” of severe thunderstorms and what you can do to be safe during those times.
Those looking to attend can expect to learn things like what makes a thunderstorm “severe,” when and where tornadoes happen the most and where the safest place to be is no matter where you are.
The 4WARN Weather Team including Spencer, Dan Thomas, Paul Heggen and Nancy Van Camp will all be on hand at the event, as well as the legendary Snowbird, one of Nashville’s most recognized TV personalities, who’s been notifying viewers of school closings for more than 25 years.
Doors open for the event at 6 p.m., and the first 50 people are set to receive a free Snowbird goodie.
Prior to the show, attendees can have their weather radio programmed and door prizes will be given away at the end of the program, including more Snowbird items and a Midland Weather Radio.
There will also be an opportunity to ask the 4WARN Weather Team questions following the presentation.
