Dawson
JoJo
Pat Benatar
Stormy

Dawson may have been seen listed before. It’s hard to believe he has not found his forever home yet. His sweet personality would make him a welcome pet. Dawson is about 8 months old and is now healthy and playful. He was found with a badly fractured rear leg. Surgery and a month of recovery have corrected any problem from that. During recovery he was an excellent patient in his foster home. He had to be confined a lot but he is now ready to make up for lost playtime. That’s just part of why he’s considered him awesome. He came through so much but he always let people hold him and care for him. He is still learning about all the fun that can be had as a kitten. Dawson is current on shots, neutered and feline leukemia negative. For information on meeting this extra-special kitty, contact his foster, Lorna, 615-946-3643.

JoJo is a handsome boxer and heeler mix about 1 1/2 years old. JoJo was found as a skinny stray by his foster with no collar or identification, and no owner was located. He is healthy now, current on shots, neutered and heartworm negative. JoJo has playful energy but can also calm down with good manners. He is basically a big puppy sometimes and a big love the rest of the time. JoJo gets along with other dogs and all the people he has met. A home with a fenced yard would be a great place for JoJo to enjoy outside time. For information on JoJo, contact his foster, Haley, at 270-285-3903.

Visit countryk9.petfinder.com or find Country K-9 Rescue Adoptable Pets on Facebook to see other available rescued pets. The adoption fees are usually $100 for dogs and $50 for cats and kittens. All pets are fully vetted and healthy.

Heart-melting chocolate brown eyes – that’s Pat Benatar. She can’t tell New Leash on Life volunteers about her earlier life, but since she was found as a stray, it couldn’t have been easy. Pat is a little shy but loves to be next to people. She’s been through a lot over the last couple of months and is adjusting well to her new temporary home at the adoption center.

Miss Pat is a 3 ½-year-old, 69-pound, black-and-tan Airedale terrier mix. She came to New Leash on Life with her seven puppies so they could find loving, inside forever homes. The puppies have started finding their homes, so now it’s Pat’s turn. Pat really needs a best friend in her life. Could you be the one to whisper in her ear, “You’re safe now, girl,” and make her believe it?

Come and meet Pat and make her your forever companion.  She will give many years of love and joy. Pat is spayed, micro-chipped and current on vaccinations. All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be allowed inside, especially at night.

Stormy is looking for his new family where he can be happy and loved. He has a sad face, but given a little time in a new home we know he will show his loving personality.  Stormy is a 4-year-old, 10-pound, brown-and-white tabby.  He came to New Leash on Life after his owners could no longer provide for him.  He is adjusting to all the changes in his life and is starting to show his loving personality. He loves to get head scratched and chin rubs. If his new home has other cats then a slow introduction would be best for everyone. Stormy has lived with other cats but isn’t the type that will want to run and play with other cats. Stormy is litter-box trained, neutered, micro-chipped and current on vaccinations. Come to the PetSmart in Mt. Juliet’s Providence Marketplace and meet this stunning fellow and adopt him for $75. All cats must be indoor only and shall not be declawed.

Not sure if you’re ready to commit to adoption? Ask about New Leash on Life’s seven-day sleepover program for dogs and cats. If you already have your limit of four-legged family members, consider becoming a ‘Guardian’ to help homeless pets each month. Visit newleashonline.org and click on Programs, then Guardian Guild for more information.
