The Wilson County Democratic Women recently donated a gift card to the newest owner of a Wilson County Habitat for Humanity home. The gift card can be used to buy needs for the new home.

The new home owner is Jennifer Clark, who shares the new home with her son La’Vonte Clark, a senior at Mt. Juliet High School.

“I thank the Wilson County Democratic Women for their generous gift, there are always so many things to buy for a new home,” said Clark.

“We are delighted to continue our support of the new home owners who have worked so hard to get their mortgage and build their homes with Habitat for Humanity,” said Annette Stafford, president of the Wilson County Democratic Women. “Jennifer is an outstanding success story for Habitat.” The Wilson County Democratic Women have been supporting Wilson County Habitat for Humanity for more than 10 years.

The Democratic Women meet the second Tuesday of the month at the fairgrounds in Lebanon at 6:30 p.m. All interested Democrats are invited to attend. For the next two months, the meetings will be held at the Democratic Party Headquarters at 308 East Main St., near the Courthouse. For more information, check the group’s Facebook page or contact Stafford at 593-4969.
