Lebanon police are searching for a suspect wanted for robbing a local hotel at knifepoint.

Police Chief Scott Bowen said the incident happened Saturday at about 11 p.m. at the Executive Inn at 631 S. Cumberland St. He said a hotel employee told officers an unidentified white man entered the lobby with a knife in his hand and told her, “This is a robbery.”

Bowen said the employee told police the man then demanded money. He said the suspect left on foot headed north toward Walmart with an undisclosed amount of money.

Bowen said the suspect is in his late-20s or early-30s, between 5-feet, 10-11 inches tall, between 175-180 pounds. He was wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt with black stripes on the chest and a tan ball cap with a black dog logo.

Bowen said anyone with information should call the tipline at 615-444-2323.
