Three women face prostitution-related charges following a Lebanon police raid of a suspected brothel Friday evening on Sparta Pike.

Lebanon SWAT officers entered the Lee Spa at about 6 p.m. and found five people, two of which were believed to be customers, according to Chief Scott Bowen. He said the raid was the result of a six-month investigation into suspected prostitution.

On Monday, Bowen said police charged Kyung Hee Lee, 53, of Lebanon, with prostitution and impersonating a licensed professional. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents also placed a hold on Kyung because she was out on bond on a prostitution charge from New York, according to Bowen.

Bowen said police also charged Kyong Min Kim, 52, of Los Angeles, with prostitution, impersonating a licensed professional and massage of an erogenous zone, as well as Sun Cha Cheung, 55, of Lebanon, with promotion of prostitution. Both women were released Saturday morning, Kyong on $7,500 bond and Cheung on $2,500 bond, according to sheriff’s records.

Bowen said about $4,700 in cash was seized during the execution of the search warrant Friday.

According to Assistant District Attorney Jimmy Lea, in addition to the search warrant, a petition was filed to abate a public nuisance. A temporary injunction was also filed to padlock the business, and Lea said the district attorney’s office would ask for a permanent injunction in a hearing Friday at 10 a.m.

“This is a civil and a criminal action happening at the same time,” Lea said.

Bowen said Friday’s raid was a joint operation with Lebanon police, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents and federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

“We’ve worked really hard this week with the district attorney’s office to get the proper paperwork so we could execute these search warrants and padlock the place,” Bowen said.

According to Bowen, police received complaints and tips concerning Lee Spa since it opened in April in a strip mall on Sparta Pike near 239 exit on Interstate 40. He said police also monitored social media where terms like “special treats” were found when describing Lee Spa.

Moo Shik Yoon was listed as Lee Spa’s owner on the business license.
