Lebanon police issued a reward Tuesday for information regarding a fatal shooting nearly two weeks ago on Joseph Street.

Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen said the $1,000 reward is in exchange for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of Ronald Lyn Johnson Sr.

Johnson was fatally shot Oct. 12 just before 2:30 a.m. at 15 Joseph Street in Lebanon.

Bowen said officers responded to a shots fired call and arrived to find Johnson’s body lying in the street. He said investigators believe Johnson went to the area to buy narcotics. He said a large crowd was gathered at the time of the shooting

“The investigation is continuing,” said Bowen. “There is a group of people who knows what happened. They just have to come forward and tell us what happened.”

Johnson, the son of Trousdale County Commissioner Richard Johnson, was laid to rest Wednesday in Hartsville. Johnson died only hours before his 44th birthday.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Lebanon police at 615-444-2323.
