A Lebanon man led police on a chase on Interstate 40 Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, several callers reported a reckless driver traveling eastbound on Interstate 40 near mile-marker 232 at about 1:20 p.m. When Lebanon police officers saw the man driving erratically, they tried to stop him but he refused and a pursuit ensued.
Highway patrol officers and Wilson County Sheriff’s deputies soon joined in the pursuit.
Officers were finally able to get the driver safely stopped by conducting a rolling-roadblock near mile-marker 247.
Police said that 58-year-old David Mille, of Lebanon, admitted to officers that he had used drugs earlier in the day.
Mille was charged with driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, driving on a revoked driver’s license and evading arrest.
