COOKEVILLE – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, White County Sheriff’s Office and 13th District Attorney General’s Office conducted an investigation into a homicide at a Dollar General store on Robert Mathews Highway in Cookeville.

On Sunday at about 7:45 p.m., a female victim identified as Jill Farley, 36, of Cookeville, drove into the parking lot at the Dollar General. She waited in the car while her passenger went inside the store.

A clerk inside the store saw a struggle inside of Farley’s vehicle. The clerk and Farley’s passenger went outside to the car and saw that Farley was severely injured. The clerk called 911 and advised that he saw a male and a female get into a dark colored vehicle and left out of the parking lot in a hurry.

Farley was taken to the hospital and later died at Cookeville Regional Hospital.

After a thorough investigation from all agencies, the case was presented to a White County grand jury Thursday.

An indictment for one count of felony murder and one count of aggravated robbery was returned for Brian Logan, aka Allyn Hodges, 36, and Miranda Brown, 26, both of Sparta.

Both Logan and Brown remained Friday at the White County Jail on drug charges. They were both served with murder and robbery charges while in custody.
