Richard Parker entered a not guilty plea in an arraignment hearing Tuesday morning before Circuit Judge John Wootten Jr.

Parker is accused of killing his in-laws, Jon and Marion Setzer, in a bombing Feb. 10. He has been charged with two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, two counts felony first-degree murder and one count of unlawful possession of a prohibited weapon.

Wootten asked Parker if he had retained legal counsel, to which Parker replied he had not. He was appointed a public defender. Parker had not posted his $1 million bond and remained in Wilson County Jail.

His next scheduled court appearance will be a motions hearing April 8 at 9 a.m.
