NASHVILLE – Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents charged Kevin D. Vanhooser, 49, of Cornersville, with aggravated assault Wednesday.
On Jan. 2, and at the request of the District Attorney General Robert Carter, TBI agents began an investigation on Vanhooser. He owns the Vanhooser’s Dairy Farm in Cornersville and serves as a Marshall County commissioner. On Jan. 1, agents said Vanhooser shot one of his employees during a dispute with the employee. The worker was identified as Jesus Montes Tellez.
On Wednesday, a Marshall County grand jury returned an indictment for aggravated assault. Vanhooser was arrested and booked into the Marshall County jail on $7,500 bond.
