LifeFlight paramedics airlifted one man to the hospital early Saturday morning after he was stabbed at a Wilson County bar.

Sheriff Robert Bryan said the incident happened just after midnight at A.J.’s Bar on Carthage Highway near the Smith County line.

Bryan said the victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by helicopter, where he remained Saturday in stable condition. He said a suspect was identified, and charges are likely. The suspect was also taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for unknown reasons.

Bryan said those involved would be identified once warrants were served.
