The daughter of country legend Hank Williams Sr. was arrested for driving under the influence.
Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen said around 2:35 a.m. Tuesday morning officers initiated a traffic stop on a 1998 tan Jaguar for suspicion of DUI after observing the car swerve between lanes.
After approaching the car, the driver was identified to police as Jett Williams Adkinson, 61, of Hartsville.
Bowen said officers noted a smell associated with alcohol coming from Adkinson and said she had slurred speech. He said Adkinson admitted to drinking two beers.
“Adkinson was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which she did not perform satisfactorily,” Bowen said.
Bowen said Adkinson was then placed under arrest for driving under the influence and issued citations for not wearing a seatbelt and not having proof of current insurance.
