Lebanon police said Friday two Lebanon students were charged with robbery of a girl in an apparent incident that happened more than a month ago.
Police Chief Scott Bowen said officers responded to the West Hills Baptist Church parking lot at 1240 Leeville Pike on Jan. 24 after a call came into dispatch regarding a possible assault. He said officers started an investigation.
Bowen said a girl victim told officers two male suspects, one of whom she knew, assaulted her.
“Through the investigation, it appears she went there to sell the suspect narcotics,” Bowen said. “The investigation is ongoing.”
Bowen said last week Wilson County schools officials were aware of the incident and investigation. He said none of the names were released due to the ages of those involved.
Lebanon High School principal Myra Sloan said she could not comment on the case because it happened off-campus.
