A trio of gun-wielding masked men held up the Mt. Juliet Goodwill Store on Tuesday night.
According to Mt. Juliet police spokesperson Tyler Chandler, three armed men wearing bandanas burst into the back door of the Goodwill store at 1321 N. Mt. Juliet Road around 8:20 p.m. and robbed the staff of an undisclosed amount of money.
He said one of the suspects pushed an employee to the floor during the robbery, but “thankfully, no one was seriously injured during the incident.”
Officers responded to the scene after a 911 call to the police station. Chandler said the suspects fled the scene and were not found after an extensive search of the area.
“Investigators responded to the scene in hopes of piecing all the information together so the robbers can be identified and apprehended,” said Chandler.
The incident was recorded on surveillance cameras, but police have not released the footage yet. However, the suspects are described as three black males between 18-30 years old. Police said one suspect has a husky build, is around 5 feet, 9 inches tall and was wearing a black jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, blue jeans and a black bandana. The second suspect has an average-build, is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and was wearing a gray hooded jacket with black-colored shoulders, blue jeans and a navy bandana over his face. The third suspect has a thin build, is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and was wearing a black hoodie, white undershirt, camo pants and a white bandana to conceal his face.
Police supplied a picture of a “distinct” purse stolen from one of the employees. It’s described as a Loop NYC Andy Warhol Velvet Underground Banana Canvas Tote Bag.
