NASHVILLE – Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents charged a Lawrenceburg man in connection to a theft case involving thousands of gallons of fuel.

At the request of District Attorney General Mike Bottoms, TBI agents started an investigation on Gregory Brant Svetkovich on Jan. 24.

Agents determined Svetkovich, a former employee of Doss Brothers Inc., kept a company gas key after ending his employment in 2012, with which he continued to charge fuel to the construction company’s accounts at Wilson Oil Co. until January. In all, investigators determined the Lawrenceburg man stole 4,772.6 gallons of fuel, at an estimated value of $17,654.13.

A Lawrence County grand jury returned an indictment for Svetkovich, charging him with one count of theft of more than $10,000.

On Friday afternoon, a TBI special agent arrested the 27 year old without incident. After posting $10,000 bond, Svetkovich was released from Lawrence County Jail.
