A man was stabbed on Cainsville Road Sunday night.
According to Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen, around 9:30 p.m. Sunday Lebanon officers responded to the area of 232 Cainsville Rd. after receiving a call of a stabbing victim laying the roadway.
“A passing motorist saw the man in the roadway and swerved to avoid hitting him,” Bowen said. “The driver then pulled over to check on the subject.”
Bowen said officers found the victim, identified as Tony Cason, of Lebanon, to have several stab wounds.
“The victim had been involved in an altercation with his ex-girlfriend, who lives near the area where he was found,” Bowen said.
Bowen said Cason was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment.
“This case is currently under investigation.”
