NASHVILLE – Nathan Lennon McCollum, was captured after two days on the state’s top 10 most wanted list.
Early Thursday morning, U.S. Marshals and Great Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force agents found McCollum at a home in Morristown with the assistance of Morristown police. He was located through routine investigative measures and taken into custody without incident.
McCollum was wanted by the Tennessee Department of Correction and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for a violation of probation for attempted aggravated kidnapping, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, violation of an order of protection, several counts of theft and traffic charges.
On July 13, McCollum removed his GPS monitor after being discharged from a drug treatment program in Bessemer, Ala. On July 14, Chattanooga Police and TDOC found his GPS monitor in Chattanooga.
McCollum was taken to Sevier County Jail and is held without bond.
