“The DECA Miss LHS beauty pageant gave me a jumpstart into participating in more pageants, and gave me the confidence a girl needs,” said Heather Sandefur, pageant host. “I am honored to be crowned Miss LHS and be able to come back and host the 2013 and 2014 pageants. It is a great fundraiser for DECA and a fun way to be involved with the school.”
DECA club advisor Sherry Buchanan said, “All the girls that entered the pageant are gorgeous, but it’s not only about how they look. When the time came for the three judges to interview the girls you began to see their true beauty – their personality.”
“I believe the pageant was a success. All the girls did phenomenal, and I hope more enter next year.”
