Mars Hill University announces dean’s list

 Sydney Marie Comer of Lebanon was named to the dean’s list at Mars Hill University at the end of the spring 2014 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 on a minimum of 12 semester hours, and carry no grade below a C.

Price graduates from Milligan College

Local student Jenna Price recently graduated from Milligan College. Price, a resident of Mt. Juliet, earned a bachelor of science degree in human performance and exercise science.

In addition, she was named to Milligan’s academic dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester. The dean’s list recognizes students who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the academic semester.

West named to Trevecca Nazarene University dean’s list

Graham West, a student pursuing majors in both physics and mathematics as well as a minor in philosophy, was named to the 2013-2014 Trevecca Nazarene University dean’s list.

This honor is given to students who have achieved a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester, and recognizes their hard work and dedication. West, a 19-year-old junior from Lebanon, earned a 4.0 this semester, with a cumulative average of 3.95 for his three years thus far at the university.

Local student honored by UT Martin communications

Ashley Shores, of Mt. Juliet, was selected for the freshman scholarship at the annual University of Tennessee at Martin Communications Department banquet held recently.
