The concert and dancing with the Jazz Alliance joined by Roger Bissell will play until 9 p.m., at which time the results of the silent auction will be announced. The Jazz Alliance will continue to play until 10 p.m. Cocktail atire is requested. WCCMA organizers believe music has the capacity to change lives.
Wilson County Children’s Music Association provides preschool music education and is planning a youth choir to begin in the fall. Classes are for families who typically would not have access to formal music programs.
Wilson County Children’s Music Association’s mission is to stimulate, promote, teach and develop interest in music; to establish and maintain a scholarship fund for the promotion of private lessons for underserved children up to 18 years of age studying any band or orchestral instrument with teachers who have established credentials; and to bring jazz and instrumental music to areas and centers not adequately served at the present time.
A ticket will provide patrons with an evening of music and the knowledge of helping to support music, music education and enriching the lives of Wilson County children, organizers said.
