Silver Springs Baptist Church on Lebanon Road at Benders Ferry in Mt. Juliet will have five days of revival from Sunday through Thursday.
The meeting times will be Sunday at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Monday through Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The evening services will begin while people are arriving with mini-concerts 20 minutes prior to the announced service time. The mini-concerts feature a large spectrum of Christian music
Preaching for the week will be Morris Anderson, a full-time evangelist from Maryville. This will be Anderson’s third revival meeting at Silver Springs.
Prior to entering full-time evangelism, Anderson pastored churches in Illinois and Tennessee. Local people may remember him as pastor of First Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge. During his tenure, the church welcomed many vacationers in their auditorium or on local television.
The music for the week will be under the direction of Silver Springs’ minister of music Chris Gregg. Gregg, a professional saxophonist, most frequently plays with Denver and the Mile-High Orchestra.
There will be special emphasis nights during the week. Monday night will be ladies night, Monday will be men’s night and Wednesday will be youth night. Youth night will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a pizza blast, and then the youth band will provide music for the evening. All people are welcome each night regardless of the emphasis.
Pastor Russ Stephens and the Silver Springs Church family invites all area residents to come to these special services. Preschool childcare from birth through 3 years old will be provided each service. Activities for 4 year olds and 5 year olds takes place during the morning worship service. Silver Springs’ building is handicapped accessible. A love offering will be received for revival leaders.
